I just want to say “Thank you” to Barry O’Farrell and the NSW Government. Now of course the changes don’t go far enough but they appear to me to be a genuine attempt to begin to change a culture of booze and violence that has brought death and suffering to so many families.
The pressures on the government from all sides must have been immense and, no doubt, will continue. Now, time is needed to bed these changes in and see how much of a difference they make.
I just pray, that all the families of those who died from booze related violence and anti social behaviour (and that includes my brother Bob’s) will now feel their loved ones will not have died in vain.
