Why Are Children Being Arrested For Needing Food?

I recently visited a residential support program to help people ease back into the community after being incarcerated. Here, I learnt that 90% of Indigenous kids arrested, was for stealing food.

Imagine that, kids being arrested for needing food.

Something is seriously wrong with our systems.
